Yanchep District High School Alterations and Additions

Opened as a primary school in 1975, Yanchep District High School was reclassified to cater for students K-10 in 1981.  At present, an increased student population and demand for specialist curricula has prompted an expansion of current facilities.

The new buildings will include a performing arts studio, staff offices, science laboratories, a visual arts classroom, materials and technology workshops and ancillary sporting facilities. Streamlined building forms expressing honest materiality are designed to reflect the functional nature of the building programme.

A highly constrained site has led to the development of part two storey planning models. Considered planning will allow the site to remain occupied and fully functional throughout the construction of this project.
