Derby District High School Additions and Alterations

This school was established in 1960 and currently has 570 students from K-12. Comprising 80% of the total student body, the school has one of the highest enrolments of Aboriginal students in the state.

The Royalties for Regions funded project will provide a new performing arts and music building, food and textiles facility, early childhood teaching block, upgrades to classrooms to include science laboratory facilities as well as site improvements.

The upgrade provides primary and secondary students with contemporary education facilities to improve school curriculum and support the re-engagement and retention of students.
